We have all heard the word STRESS, but how exactly does stress affect our bodies? When we were hunter-gatherers it was straight forward. In 2017, we first have to look at how many different types of stress there are. Each stress or affects the body in a different way.

Physical Stress
Overworking, repetitive stress syndromes, athletic endeavors, over lifting, loss of sleep, loud noises, and much more.

Environmental Stress
In our modern times, there is air pollution from all causes including fires, earthquakes, chemtrail spraying, insecticides, waste disposal, mold, radiation and volcanic activity.

Chemical Stress
Unless you eat all of your foods organically grown there will be foods that are toxic with: pesticides, preservatives,heavy metals, man-made chemicals and virus from genetically modified foods. Then, of course, there are drugs. Prescription, over the counter, recreational and marijuana. Chemical stress can change your personality because it changes the way your brain is working.

Emotional Stress
On the job performance stress, loss of a loved one including pets, family stress, marriage stress, caretaker stress, traffic stress, parenthood stress, IRS stress, election  stress, fear of terrorists, fears of all kinds, to name just a few. This list could grow extensively the more one thinks about all the possibilities. These will have a significant impact on your health.

Adrenal Function / Sleep Issues / Body Repair
Our adrenal glands are the first line of defense against most stress. We can go into our fight or flight mechanism but some of us are always in that mode. The adrenals are supposed to produce their hormone (cortisol) in the morning. If you are stressed or drink caffeine and eat sugar they may stay producing hormones at night. When adrenal hormones are high at night (cortisol) it suppresses your sleep hormones. If you can’t sleep long and deeply enough your bodies repair and recharge time is short.
